The Village and Community Halls Network provides an opportunity for members to air their views and consolidate them in the development of national policies in support of village halls and similar rural community buildings.
There is no fee to be a member of this network and it does provide a vital link for all halls to influence the national agenda.

Today we visited Sutton Parish Council and their venue The Glebe, a lovely historic building which has been extensively renovated and offers a lovely venue for the community to meet. The Parish Clerk – Rosie explained the history of the building in the village.
Our discussion topic centred around a quiz on the role and responsibilities of a trustee, this tested our knowledge on the requirements to carry out our roles effectively. If you would like a copy of the quiz to use as a learning tool with your own trustee board please drop me a line.

The Charity Commission, the independent regulator of charities in England and Wales, has launched a new customer survey about its digital services.
The survey will stay open for 6 weeks, closing at 5pm on Wednesday 18 January. It includes questions on users’ priorities when speaking with the Commission and their preferred methods of communication.
The survey is quick to complete and will allow you to express your wishes on how you prefer to contact the Charity Commission for support and guidance.
