Today 24 village hall trustees attended our training session on ‘fire safety in your community building’. We were very lucky to have Kate Peacock from Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service to deliver this very informative session. Trustees learnt about current legislation as well as practical advice on how to make their community buildings safer for all users.
Feedback from trustees attending included:
- “Extremely practical approach – Very good”
- “This event has greatly enhanced my knowledge of the regulatory requirements and responsibilities”
- “I found this course very useful”
Given the very positive feedback we would like to repeat this event again next year, if you didn’t manage to attend this years event please look out for future dates, as you can see from above trustees would recommend this as a morning well spent!
Our thanks also goes to the trustees of Kirtling Village Hall who not only provided their facility free of charge for the event but also provided refreshments for everyone.
